WSP Bursary Application Details 2022/2023
SP bursary scheme is open to qualified applicants who are currently studying in Engineering and Environmental Science degrees at accredited South African educational institutions. Particularly those studying within of the following fields:
- Civil Engineering (BEng / BSc (Eng) / BIng)
- Electrical Engineering (BEng / BSc (Eng) / BIng)
- Environmental Sciences (BSc / BSc (Honours))
- Mechanical Engineering (BEng / BSc (Eng) / BIng)
Bursary holders will be expected to perform vacation work within the duration of their studies. Upon completion of their studies, bursary holders may also be offered job opportunities from WSP.
Aside from technical abilities, students should also demonstrate the necessary skills that will help them succeed such as enthusiasm, motivation, innovation, problem-solving, reliance, time management, leadership, teamwork, attention to detail, communication skills, community participation, willingness to learn and ability to work under pressure.

General Qualifications:
- South African citizen
- Completed Matric
- Applicants with the previously disadvantaged background will be given preference
Civil Engineering Bursary applicants:
If you are a passionate and dedicated Engineering student, currently enrolled for a Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering and meet the following further requirements, please send us your application.
- Studying in the 2nd, 3rd or Final year of your BEng / BSc (Eng) / BIng Engineering degree.
- Minimum 65% overall average and passed all subjects for your 2020 academic year to date.
- Should not be in receipt of another bursary or scholarship to be eligible.
- Preference will be given to previously disadvantaged individuals, but all South African Citizens are welcome to apply.
Electrical Engineering Bursary applicants:
If you are a passionate and dedicated Engineering student, currently enrolled for a Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering and meet the following further requirements, please send us your application.
- Studying in the 2nd, 3rd or Final year of your BEng / BSc (Eng) / BIng Engineering degree.
- Have achieved a minimum average of 65% and passed all subjects for your 2020 academic year to date.
- Should not be in receipt of another bursary or scholarship to be eligible.

Mechanical Engineering Bursary applicants:
If you are a passionate and dedicated Engineering student, currently enrolled for a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering and meet the following further requirements, please send us your application.

- Achieved a minimum average of 75% and passed all subjects for your 2020 academic year to date.
