Academy of Sound Engineering Fees Structure 2026/2027

The management of the Academy of Sound Engineering has released the new & returning students’ school fees structure as well as the Academy of Sound Engineering tuition fees booklet, students bursary, banking details, registration fees, examination fees, class fees, finance booklet, and other fees charged for the 2026/2027 academic year.

Please understand that at the time of publishing this information, the official Academy of Sound Engineering fee structure is subject to change without prior notice.

Fees include all the amounts that are payable for you to study and graduate on time. Undergraduate students need to note that tuition fees differ between the faculties at the Academy of Sound Engineering.

For postgraduate, Master’s, Honours, and Doctorate students: as a returning student, your fees may look quite different from that of an undergraduate student.

International students should note that the registration and tuition fees that apply to them are slightly different from those of local students. Read more about the differences and payable fees.

HIGHER CERTIFICATE PROGRAM FEES

Tuition Fee R 74,950.00

*Annual Registration Deposit (non-refundable) R 5,000.00

Discounts

Discount if paid by 30 November: R 5,000.00
Balance due if paid by 30 November: R 74,950.00
Discount if paid in full 4 weeks before commencement of course: R 2,000.00
Balance due if paid 4 weeks before commencement of course R 77,950.00

Discounts are only applied after all prior financial obligations to the Academy of Sound Engineering have been met.

All discounts will be calculated pro rata, based on the number of credits the student is enrolled for.

*All students are required to pay a non-refundable Registration Deposit of R5,000 before the start of lectures to confirm registration in any 2026/2027 full-time program, per course, before the start.

All deposits paid are included in, and deductible from, the published tuition fees payable.
The above fees and discounts are for one year full-time tuition in 2026/2027, and exclude textbooks, kits, assessment re-writes and other additional charges.
