Many students participated in the National Senior Certificate and the Amended Senior Certificate
Matric results will be released to candidates on 14 January 2026. Some results may not be available because of technical issues.
- Candidates are urged to get their statements of results from the school or centre where they wrote the exams. Candidates’ results will also be available on this website from 6 a.m. on 14 January 2026.
- Result queries should be submitted for investigation within 30 days after the release of results.
- Candidates must ensure that names and identity numbers reflect correctly on their statement of results and report any required corrections to the Department before 21 February 2026.
RE-MARK/RE-CHECK OF EXAM SCRIPT
A candidate may apply at the prescribed fee for the re-mark/re-check of his/her examination scripts. Registration can be done at either the school or district office in the province or online at www.eservices.gov.za (all instructions appear on the reverse side of the Statement of Results).
Fees for re-marking and re-checking per subject:
Re-mark : R116.00
Re-check : R29.00
Viewing of scripts may only be done after a re-mark or re-check of results. The closing date for applications is 7 days after release of re-mark or re-check results. The fee for viewing is R220.00
Results of remarking will be released from 4 March 2026 and will be available at the school/exam centre where the candidate sat for their 2026 examinations.

Students can get their Adult Matric Results online from the Department of Basic Education website.

Check online
Go to the Department of Basic Education (DBE) website and follow these steps:Â
- Select the Examination results buttonÂ
- Select the (NSC) exam results buttonÂ
- Enter your examination numberÂ
- Provide your personal detailsÂ
- Select the Search button
Check at the exam center
Part-time NSC candidates can only get their results from the exam center where they wrote.Â

- Download the app from the Google Play Store or Apple App Store.
Check on the IEB website
If you went to a private school, you can check your results on the IEB website.
Some things to keep in mind include:Â
- Results for the full-time November National Senior Certificate examination are only available on the DBE website.
- Some results may be excluded from the DBE website for technical reasons.
- If your results don’t appear, you can check with the exam center or district/provincial office.
- The DBE reserves the right to change any information on the website.

What Was This Examination Period Used For?
This particular examination period was used for the following cases:
- Adult students that do not have a matric certificate
- Students that wrote the November examination previously, but did not meet the requirements for a matric certificate
- Students that wrote the November examination previously, and have passed, but want to improve their matric results
- Learners that left school due to unforeseen circumstances
- Learners that were absent but have a valid reason
*Students that are not satisfied with their marks can get their results, rechecked, remarked or viewed.
