The Platform Development Manager is a newly created role and is key to delivering the Go To Market strategic project and managing its future development.
This permanent role supports a critical digital transformational project for E6. You will be accountable for the successful transition of Distributors onto the new E6 platform (built on Sharepoint), administer the platform, and take accountability for identifying and managing any future developments. You will champion the platform and digital transformation within E6, and support ongoing changes in our Distributors behaviour.

This senior role is a part of distribution management team and reports to the Sales Director for Grits & Distribution. Whilst our preference is for the role to be based in Ireland or the UK, we will consider applications from employees outside of these locations who match the skills and behaviours.
Duties and tasks
- Work with E6 stakeholders to simplify and digitise existing processes and create a project plan to successfully deliver these changes via the E6 platform.
- Responsible for the day to day management of the Distributor platform, including initial development.
- Engages with Distributors and plans their transition to the platform, providing training & troubleshooting problems as necessary.
- Works closely with the IM function to deliver new features and future developments, focusing on the continued development of the platform.
- Supports Distribution Managers and Product Managers in identifying how the platform can support growth areas of the business.
Criteria skills and behaviours
- Prior Experience. You will possess a broad understanding of the E6 sales process coupled with a solid understanding of Sharepoint & Office 365 applications and be able to demonstrate good attention to detail.
- Project Management. Experience managing projects with multiple stakeholders at different levels of seniority, preferably across different geographies. Exposure of managing any IT enabled project will be an advantage.
- Document Management. Experience of Sharepoint to include understanding integration with other systems, how to increase user adoption and share your knowledge with others.
- Customer Centric. Highly motivated to bring clarity and responsiveness to customers and partners (internal and external). Understands the customers underlying needs and problems.
- Decision Making. Makes clear, timely decisions and gives explicit and clear guidance. Decisions are focused on increasing or improving the company’s options and are owned.
- Manages Complexity. Doesn’t over engineer solutions and stays focused on the problem being solved. Considers the implications of local decisions across the whole organisation and its external stakeholders.
- Accountability. Holds self and others to account. Understands that no one can see the complete picture.
Preferably based in the UK or Ireland, we can be flexible on location.
