Successful candidates will receive a monthly allowance/stipend but will be responsible for their own accommodation, transport, and meals. Most internships are for a 12 month period and in some instances, candidates may be offered a permanent position, but it is not guaranteed.

If you would like to apply for an internship with any of the Government Departments the following requirements will have to be met.  Depending on the Department, there may be additional requirements.

  • Candidates must live in South Africa and hold a valid ID document
  • Candidates must be unemployed and have not previously been part of a Government internship program
  • Candidates must be fluent in English (Speak, Read & Write)
  • Candidates must not hold a criminal record
  • Candidates must have a degree or qualification in the field that they are applying for
  • Candidates must submit a curriculum vitae with contactable references
