Understanding the Diesel Mechanic Apprenticeship

This apprenticeship is designed to provide a comprehensive education in diesel mechanics, leading to an Occupational Certificate at NQF Level 4. Phase 1: Institutional Training (6 Months)

The initial six months of the program focus on theoretical knowledge and practical skills development. This phase takes place at Try Easy Electrical Solutions in Wadeville, Johannesburg. Apprentices will learn the fundamentals of diesel engines, diagnostic procedures, and basic repair techniques in a controlled learning environment.

Phase 2: Workplace Experiential Training (24 Months)

Phase 3: Trade Test Preparation and Assessment (6 Months)

Training Location and Relocation

The institutional training for this diesel mechanic apprenticeship will be held at Try Easy Electrical Solutions, located at 181 Immelman Road, Unit 3, Wadeville, Johannesburg, Gauteng Province. Applicants who are successful in their application must be willing to relocate to Gauteng for the duration of the initial institutional training phase. This ensures that all apprentices have access to the necessary facilities and expert instruction.

Essential Requirements for Applicants

To be considered for the Diesel Mechanic Apprenticeship Programme, candidates must meet several key criteria. These requirements are in place to ensure that applicants are well-suited for the demands of the program and the trade itself.
