Packer
About the Role
Essity is a leading global hygiene and health company which develops, produces and sells Health & Medical, Consumer Tissue and Professional Hygiene products and solutions which has a strong global presence.
We are seeking the services of a Packer to join our Operations team based at our Pinetown manufacturing site. The incumbent will be responsible for the packing and slitting of bandages.
We’re looking for people who embody our values, aren’t afraid to challenge, innovate, experiment, and move at a fast pace. We’re always looking for ways to improve our products and ourselves. If this is you, we’d love to talk.
What You Will Do
-
Receive bandages from spreading.
-
Pack into cartons or spools for shrink wrapping.

Maintain good housekeeping and Good Manufacturing Practices conditions in EAB .

Ensure that waste is monitored daily and is within the required standards.

Perform standard quality checks.

Report any faults or defects to the team leader.
Who You Are
-
Must have Matric with basic numeric skills.
-
Previous production experience would be advantageous.

Must be physically fit and be able to work across the site, indoors and outdoors.

Must be able to work both independently & within a team and be able to work with and without supervision.

Must have excellent communication skills (verbal and written).

Must be trustworthy and reliable.
