Programme Duration and Location

The Internship Programme has a duration of 18 to 24 months, depending on the applicant’s qualification level. The Smart Solar System Training Development Programme is a three-month project. Both programmes are based within the eThekwini Municipality in KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa.

Minimum Requirements

For the Internship Programme:

• Completed N6 qualification (TVET graduates) or a relevant Diploma/Degree (Graduates).
• Must be unemployed.
• South African citizenship.

For the Smart Solar System Training Development Programme:

• Technical Matric Certificate or N3 Technical Matric with Electrical and/or Plumbing trade subjects.
• Ages between 18 and 35 years.
• Valid Code 8 or Code 10 driver’s licence.
• Must be unemployed.
• Must reside within the eThekwini Municipality area.
• Ability to read, write, and follow instructions in English.
• Physically fit for manual work, including working at heights.
• Willingness to participate in training and work-based activities.
• Ability to use a smartphone and digital applications.
• Should not have participated in a similar programme before.
