He was popularly known as “Legs of Thunder” after a champion racehorse which was a character on a South African TV series.

His professional career started in 1991 with Giant Blackpool. He then went on to play for Witbank Aces and Orlando Pirates. He played for Buccaneers for 5 years scoring 42 goals in 107 appearances.
In 1999, he joined Chinese side Yunnan Hongta, but left the club after only two months due to a problem with his signing-on fee. Others include AmaZulu, Tembisa Classic and City Sharks Johannesburg.
He played for South Africa national football team and was part of the squad that travelled to France for the 1998 FIFA World Cup.
