About the NCIB Young Analyst Programme

Job Purpose

In this role, you help put investment plans into action. Tasks include data analysis, research, and supporting key decisions. You also work with clients and teams to grow the business in line with Nedbank’s goals.

Key Responsibilities

Your daily work covers several areas. You analyze financial and economic data to guide investments. Compile research on industries and the economy, then track it over time.

Make recommendations based on numbers and deeper insights. Present reports to stakeholders and build client relationships. Check fund performance, improve processes, and keep up with regulations and trends.

Minimum Requirements

To qualify, you need a postgraduate degree or be finishing a four-year degree. Have zero to two years of work experience. Maintain at least a 70% average in all study years.

South African citizenship is required.

Preferred Qualifications

Nedbank favors certain degrees at honors or master’s level. These include Bachelor of Business Science, Actuarial Science, and Bachelor of Commerce. Finance and Investment Management, Financial Engineering, and Mathematics and Statistics also stand out.

Other strong fields are Risk Management, Sustainable Finance, Engineering, Data Science, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, and Quantitative Risk Management.
