Rhodes University Fees Booklet 2025
The Rhodes University fees booklet covers tuition, course material, residential fees, accommodation fees, textbooks, account number, quotation, fee summary, fees statement, examination fees, and other fees charged in 2025.
The following policies and procedures are applicable to all students who officially register for programs at Rhodes University. The Institute reserves the right to change fees without prior notice. However, fee changes are subject to approval by the Governing Council and we will update it ASAP.

Rhodes University Tuition Fees (estimate)
R36 050 to R65 075 (this varies from degree to degree)
Allow approximately R6 050 for books and stationery.
Note: that these fees shown do NOT include travel expenses or pocket money.
Rhodes University Application Fees
The closing date for applications from all new students for admission to the University is 30 September. This is also the official deadline for foreign applicants.
Initial applications for admission must be accompanied by a nonrefundable application fee of R100 for all applicants. Late applications will be considered.
No applications from foreign students can be considered after 30 September.
Rhodes University Residence Fees
R68 987 to R72 428 (this includes all meals but excludes vacations)
The residence fees also depend on the grade of accommodation chosen.
Rhodes University Acceptance Fees
Tuition Acceptance Fee
This deposit is payable on acceptance of an academic place at the University.
The fee payable for 2025 is R800.
This deposit must be paid by a date specified in the letter of acceptance.
The deposit is non-refundable and will be forfeited should the student choose
not to register at the University.
Rhodes University Residence Acceptance Fee
Upon acceptance of a place at the University, an R1 000.00 residence deposit must be paid before a student is allocated to a residence
This deposit is non-refundable and will be forfeited to the University should the student fail to register and into a residence for at least one term
