Together they stand for progress for the disadvantaged South Africans and supporting them to become CA(SA).

The Thuthuka bursary is a fund powered by SAICA. This bursary is only for students who want to become a chartered accountant. Their aim is to support young professionals who are representative of the demographics of South Africa.   • You need to be a SA citizen
  • Be black or colored
  • You are either in Grade 12. Or no more then 2 years out of school with Matric
  • At least 60% in Mathematics Grade 11
  • Intend to study BCom Accounting and have enough points for University entry
  • As mentioned above: Applied for a Bcom accounting degree at one of the SAICA accredited universities
  • You are part of a family who can not afford to pay for tertiary education
  • Passed the NBT (National Benchmark Test) with the minimum set of criteria

  • Current ID photo
  • Student ID
  • Parent / Guardian ID
  • Salary advice slip or Affidavit for unemployed
  • Final grade 11 school results or Grade 12 Certificate if no longer in School
  • Copies of ID’s of all dependent family members that are provided for by household income
  • University Acceptance Letter
  • Signed Thuthuka consent form.
