Shoprite Bursaries 2026: Apply for Retail, Supply Chain and More
Are you a South African student looking for financial help to study in retail or supply chain fields? The Shoprite Bursaries 2026 offer a great chance for young people to get support for their education. Shoprite Group, Africa’s largest retailer, wants to help students like you build skills for the future.
About the Shoprite Bursary Programme
Shoprite started in 1979 and now runs thousands of stores across Africa. The bursary programme targets students in high-demand areas like retail and supply chain. It helps develop professionals who can join the company and help it grow.
Fields Covered by the Bursaries
Shoprite will award bursaries in four main study areas:
- Accounting (CA Stream – SAICA): 10 bursaries available.
- Biological & Agricultural Sciences: 10 bursaries available.
- Retail Business Management: 60 bursaries available.
- Supply Chain & Logistics: 10 bursaries available.
These fields match the needs of Shoprite’s business operations.
What the Bursary Covers
Each bursary is worth between R30,000 and R60,000, based on your course and school. It pays for tuition fees, prescribed textbooks, and an accommodation allowance. This support makes it easier for students to focus on their studies.
