The South African Weather Service (SAWS) hereby invites applications for their two-year Internship Programme.
We are looking for a high- achieving graduate to join our Internship programme in the following field:
- GIS – 1 Position – Ref: GIS – 2019
Applicants must satisfy the following requirements:
- Student MUST have a qualification where GIS is core to the qualification.
- Student MUST be able to perform spatial and non-spatial data analysis.
- Training in Meteorology or Climatology will be an added advantage
- An applicant must be a new graduate or have been unemployed for a period of one-year after completion of a tertiary qualification.
HOW TO APPLY
The intern will be placed in SAWS Head Office in Pretoria, under Climate Information Unit. A successful candidate will be responsible for arranging his or her own accommodation and transport. SAWS will pay a monthly stipend, which will be R6000.00 per month.
