The Western Cape Education Department (WCED) invites interested candidates who wish to be considered as Teacher Assistants during the National State of Disaster to register their profiles on the WCED’s on-line system.

WCED Recruiting Teacher Assistants Application Details

Requirements:

• Applicants must have an interest in the teaching profession.
• Be in possession of a completed education qualification or an appropriate undergraduate qualification and/or be in the process of completing an education qualification.

Job Function:

• To facilitate lesson plans drafted by the Educator
• To provide support in the classroom

HOW TO APPLY

Salary:

The Teacher Assistant project is an initiative of the Western Cape Education Department, a relevant stipend will be paid in line with the determination of the Department of Public Service and Administration (in the absence of a determination of the Department of Basic Education).

The stipends for the two categories of Teacher Assistants are as follows:

Completed Degree = R5 000 per month

Incomplete Degree = R4 000 per month
