Job Descriptions

We are looking for a driven and well-organised individual to join our Purchasing Team. As a Buyer’s Admin Assistant, you will be required to provide administration support to the Buying Team in all areas of the Buying process.

Key Performance Area and Responsibilities:

  • Assisting the Buyer with the preseason selection process.
  • Tracking and giving feedback on prices, adverting and online sales activities.
  • Assisting the buyers with advertising selections, samples and communication.
  • Assisting the buyer in ensuring replenishment orders are agreed on with the Planner and are placed timeously as per the company strategy and range plan.
  • Placing orders into the ITEM master once the selection is done.
  • Doing the order confirmation and GRV comparison/match.
  • Notifying relevant parties of changes to be reflected in the Buy Plan.
  • Tracking market activity on a marketing calendar on a daily basis.
  • Organizing supplier sample requirements when required.
  • Assisting in building the brand and supplier relationships by:
  • Ensuring the correct communication is given between the company and the supplier, as per the company standards (eg. Markdowns Communication);
  • Updating supplier data, such as terms and conditions, credit maintenance, payment terms and discounts.

Essential skills, behavior and knowledge required:

  • Strong knowledge of MS Office package – with a specific focus on Excel and PowerPoint.
  • High detail consciousness.
  • Ability to work under tight time constraints.
  • A genuine interest and passion for the fashion industry.
  • Good presentation skills.

Education & Experience:

  • Grade 12 (Senior Certificate – high school qualification)
  • Relevant tertiary qualification advantageous.
  • 2 year’s administrative experience within a retail environment is essential.
  • A valid Green South African ID required.
